Position Summary
The Party Coordinator is responsible for the administrative oversight of birthday parties and field trips in the Athletics & Aquatics Department, responsible for all party preparations and ensuring that each event is fully staffed. The party coordinator will hire, train, supervise and observe party hosts. The party coordinator will ensure all equipment and supplies are maintained in relation to the Corner Zone and party venues and make recommendations for new purchases. The Party Coordinator will work closely with program managers to ensure venue hours are updated for public display.
Essential Functions
- Hire, train, and supervise party hosts, including regularly observing performance and providing feedback.
- Provide great customer service to the community; see that all customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service.
- Track and monitor sales of birthday parties & field trip, maintaining party calendar as dates are booked.
- Complete all pre-party procedures as outlined, including parent and internal Kroc communications and event requests.
- Ensure all parties are appropriately staffed. Communicate necessary details to staff.
- Receive party feedback from staff and disseminate as appropriate to Athletics Management or Facilities.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
- Ensure implementation of all policies, procedures and practices, and that these meet Salvation Army standards.
- Maintain clear channels of communication with staff, volunteers and program participants.
- Maintain a safe working environment. Report all problems to manager on duty or facilities.
- Perform other assignments/duties as directed.
- Adhere to RJKCCC operations and policy procedures as adopted by Administration.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 40lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must comply with all applicable business, employment and copyright laws.

- Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
- Must have command of the English language and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure.
- Must maintain a valid California Driver's License.
- Must successfully complete Decision Driving Safety Test before driving for The Salvation Army and annually recertify as required.
- Must meet certification by and participation in The Salvation Army's Fleet Safety Program (Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy dictates that an employee may not obtain more than two [2] moving violations or accidents within any 12-month period; see The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy).
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- High school diploma or GED.
- Competent in basic Microsoft suite: Outlook, Word, Excel. Comfort with learning reservation and customer database systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and energetically with staff, clients, members and customers.
- Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
- Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client information.
- Maintain a drug and alcohol-free work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clientele and staff.
