Position Summary
Supports warehouse operations by processing donated goods, operating equipment, and completing donation pickups. Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Process unsellable or excess donated goods using baler equipment and maintain consistent productivity
- Load, unload, and move materials for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to handle materials safely
- Receive and sort donations including clothing, household goods, and furniture
- Work in warehouse or dock areas as assigned based on operational needs
- Operate a 24-foot truck to pick up donations and assist with loading and securing items
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including proper stacking, use of pallets, and airflow under stored materials
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
- Provide professional and respectful service to donors and represent the organization appropriately
- Remove unsellable or damaged items from the sales floor as assigned
- Perform general warehouse duties and basic outdoor or grounds work as needed
- Follow all store and organizational procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Related warehouse, retail, or driving experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate or obtain forklift certification within 90 days
- Ability to operate baler equipment
- Ability to lift and move donated goods, including furniture
