This position supports the Facilities team in maintaining safe, functional, and well-kept properties across Winnebago County, contributing directly to the organization's ability to serve the community.

This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete assigned facilities repair tickets in a timely manner, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
- Provide support on property projects across all county locations, including delivering supplies between properties as needed.
- Operate a variety of organizational vehicles safely in support of facilities and operational needs.
- Perform lawn care, grounds maintenance, and snow removal at assigned properties; off-hours work required as necessary.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete basic repair and maintenance tasks.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance work for all county properties.
- Support event setups and teardowns at various properties as directed.
- Assist with special projects at county properties as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: Previous maintenance experience.
- This individual will only commit Army resources that have been allocated or approved.
- This individual will keep the Facilities Director informed on all critical issues relating to their area of responsibility.
- This individual will adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
- This position is required to do manual labor.
- The work environment for this position is a moderate noise level.
- This position may be required to move or lift up to 50lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstrated ability with hand and power tools.
- Organizational skills that can manage projects in a constantly changing environment.
- Exhibit integrity with the ability to work with all types of people.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office experience.
- Supportive of the mission of The Salvation Army, and an appreciation of faith-based service organizations.
- This position reports to the Facilities Director.
- In contacts related to this position’s duties, this individual acts as a representative of the Army and its mission.
