What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver @ Prospect Corps position at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory?
Job Objective: Provides passenger transportation and materials pickup/delivery service
Essential Functions:
- Provide client transportation services
- Assist clients on and off vehicle
- Collect fees, issue receipts as needed, and turn in collected funds to office at end of day
- Provide materials pickup and delivery services
- Load and unload materials
- Perform inspection of vehicle(s)
- Perform daily maintenance on vehicle and equipment
- Arrange for service to vehicle(s)
- Report damage, problems or malfunction of vehicle(s)/equipment to management.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Prior driver/delivery experience helpful but not required
Certifications/Licenses: Class E driver's license or above
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to positively interact with clients, staff, and donors
- Ability to operate assigned vehicle
- Ability to work and meet deadlines independently with minimum supervision
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Physical Requirements: Include speaking, hearing and vision; manual dexterity; standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, climbing; lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 50 pounds. Travel: None
Driving: Yes. Must possess a valid class E driver's license (or above) from the state of residence. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
