Position Type: Part-Time/Hourly
Pay Rate: $9.21
About This Opportunity
Acts as lead worker to other sorting room workers; receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the sorting room area; responds to customer questions.
Key Responsibilities
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Duties are usually performed standing with moderate physical effort required associated with sitting, walking, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
Work is usually performed in a normal warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changed in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, with the exception of driving conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Serves as the lead worker to all sorting room workers and community service workers.
- Trains and instructs employees in the proper methods and procedures.
- Informs supervisor of any issues that arise.
- Receives, inspects and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brack, etc. according to the category and condition.
- Selects items suitable for store display and distributes same to appropriate area for further sorting and/or pricing.
- Discards items in accordance with established procedures.
- Fill in as back up truck driver.
- Six months warehouse work experience performing similar work, or
- any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Valid State Driver's License
