Position Summary: The Lead Day Camp Counselor will monitor, lead, and control a group of children. This position will work with children, fellow counselors, and staff to provide a safe and meaningful summer day camp experience in a Christian environment.

Position Summary: The Lead Day Camp Counselor will monitor, lead, and control a group of children. This position will work with children, fellow counselors, and staff to provide a safe and meaningful summer day camp experience in a Christian environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a group of counselors
- Supervise groups of campers ages 6-12
- Be the responsible staff for all off-site activities. Duties include parking, paying admissions, collecting receipts, lunch arrangements, and disciplinary actions, as needed
- Act as a liaison between the director and staff
- Supervise the daily clean up of all areas used by day camp
- Attend all staff meetings, programs, and planned activities
- Pick up supplies as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
- Must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
