Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Harbor Light facility and support specialists ensuring the overall efficient, effective, and safe operation of the facility.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Take control of the facility by walking around observing people, property and events taking place
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding supervised staff
- Monitor staff, clients, residents, church members and visitors
- Give supervision, training, direction and assistance to the Support Specialists
- Assist staff in maintaining order and efficiency in the performance of their responsibilities
- Investigate all serious occurrences/issues that take place during the shift
- Communicate verbally and in writing, to the Site Operations Supervisor, all serious occurrences/issues that take place during the shift on the next business day
- Summarize and record the shift report in the daily log
- Ability to communicate effectively through spoken and written word
- TB Test and police clearance required
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years practical experience as a Supervisor
- Possess a working knowledge of addiction recovery
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email and internet
- Experience using electronic medical records system preferred
- Reasoning Ability:
- Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission Statements
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light Policies and Procedures

- Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Frequent walking, bending and standing for long periods of time
- Capability to inspect packages, equipment, and fixtures, as well as observe people and events
- Ability to hear and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Work Environment:
- Office setting
- Continuous movement from unit to unit
- In addition: Must be highly organized, motivated, a self starter with the ability to multi-task, be creative.
