What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Education & Workforce Development position at The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command?
Plans, directs, coordinates, and monitors the day-to-day operations of the Education and Workforce Development Center; develops, implements, and evaluates schedules, course offerings, operations, and services; supervises all program staff and education volunteers, and ensures training is in compliance with established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Works directly with businesses, local colleges, agencies, clubs, and community organizations to articulate The Salvation Army message and obtain volunteer speakers and trainers. Researches, prepares, writes, and submits grant proposals, applications, Annual Performance Reports (APR’s), and other grant documents (e.g., statistical reports) to local, state, and federal funding sources; secures all program funding and ensures compliance of rules and regulations of grants; prepares and monitors program expenditures in compliance with program budget.
