Job Title: Seasonal Kettle Driver
FLSA Status: Seasonal, Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Kettle Coordinator
Schedule: 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 10:00am-7:00pm
Supervises: N/A
Rate of Pay: $18-$20/hour

Benefits: Seasonal; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:
- Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.

Position Summary
The Seasonal Red Kettle Driver supports The Salvation Army's Christmas Red Kettle Campaign by transporting kettles, stands, signs, volunteers, and donations to and from assigned locations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring kettle sites are set up properly, maintained throughout the day, and secured at the end of each shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up Red Kettles, stands, signs, and supplies at assigned locations.
- Ensure kettle locations are set up according to Salvation Army standards.
- Transport bell ringers to and from kettle locations, as needed.
- Monitor assigned kettle sites and respond to operational needs.
- Collect and safeguard kettle donations following established procedures.
- Complete required paperwork, mileage logs, and donation tracking forms.
- Maintain regular communication with the Kettle Coordinator.
- Report accidents, incidents, safety concerns, or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with emergency coverage at kettle locations when necessary.
- Represent The Salvation Army in a professional, courteous, and Christ-centered manner.
Education/Experience, Skills, Qualities, Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Requirements
- Driving
- The employee must be 21 years old at a minimum (for insurance provision) and possess a valid in-state driver’s license
- An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies
- Background Check
- Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies
- Physical
- Ability to maneuver, to remain in a stationary position, to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead, to lift 25 pounds, to access and produce information from the computer, to operate a telephone, to understand written information
