The Sales Associate will be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. They will maintain order, create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment, and maintain good customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, efficient service to all customers and donors.
- Assist with daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, sorting, pricing, and sales floor upkeep.
- Handle donations with care, ensuring items are sorted, tagged, and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order.
- Maintain merchandise displays and follow the rag-out calendar to rotate stock.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe, clutter-free store environment.
- Follow all cash handling, security, and operational procedures.
- Report theft, customer concerns, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
- Provide guidance to community service workers and volunteers as directed by the Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Corps Officer.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma preferred
SKILLS AND COMPETENICIES
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move donations and merchandise as required.
- Flexibility to assist across store functions (cashier, sorting, stocking, cleaning).
