A. BASIC PURPOSE
Cooperate with Program Director in planning and implementing the camp program. Organize and
administer a
safe and meaningful program in the area of arts and crafts that is in harmony with the goals and
objectives of
Camp Del Oro.
B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop innovative approaches to crafts that will encourage campers to experiment and explore their

- Train and assist counselors to be familiar with rules, programs and crafts available to campers.
- Design program crafts reflecting nature.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials to insure a good program is conducted for all camp
- Report supply needs and give a materials list to the program director for purchase.
- Coordinate all craft activities with other camp programs.
- Assist the assistant program director with implementing campfire program.
- Give support to total camp programs.
- Assist with break day duties as assigned.
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters.
- Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities.
- Assist with clean up of total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer.
- Assist with the camp brief at the end of the summer.
- Assist the Program Director in completing inventories at summer's end.
- Assist the Program Director with other duties as needed.

C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be at least 18 years of age
2. Must have general skills in working with children
3. Preferred previous camp experience either as a camper of as a staff member
D. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes
continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and tools.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
