Store Processor

This position processes donated materials for resale in the Salvation Army Family Stores as assigned.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Location: 5000 W Roosevelt RD 

 Compensation: $16.60/hr.

Status: Full Time/ 40Hours

• Process all merchandise efficiently and properly following the standards and quotas of The Salvation Army.  Standard quotas for processers are as follows:
• Sorters             4000 lbs. in 8 hours
• Hangers           50 trolleys in 8 hours
• Evaluators       2000 pieces in 8 hours
• Taggers           2000 pieces
• Price clothing per Salvation Army policy
• Rotate assignments as directed by the sorting room supervisor, learning all functions of the processing system.
• Wear any and all assigned PPE provided, including but not limited to loves, masks, or back guard when doing substantial lifting.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule; to work early shifts, late shifts, and some weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Processing experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management and coworkers.

Basic computer skills including but not limited to the use of the payroll program, and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.

Ability to use basic math skills.

Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Working Conditions:

The work environment for this position is a store or warehouse environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.  The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather.

 Compensation: $16.60/hr.
