Energy Assistance Services Regional Manager

Position Summary: The EAS Regional Manager reports to the EAS Director and is responsible for ensuring customer service to clients while coordinating the daily functions of regional operations and providing team leadership. This includes supervision and oversight of case work staff members. This position plays a key role in ensuring contract compliance while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversees and coordinates compassionate services within region; modeling behavior consistent with mission, policies, and code of ethics
• Recruits, interviews, and hires staff as approved
• Provides training, oversight and leadership to staff
• Determines work assignments, priorities, and procedures for staff; ensuring quality and quantity of work
• Supports casework goals and program success measures, monitoring and managing case worker performance, relational issues, equitable coverage of service areas, effectiveness of interventions, and outcome achievement
• Assists with trainings and presentations, and collaborates on regional communications for internal staff and stakeholders
• Builds positive relationships with regional vendors and community partners
• Responds to inquiries from all stakeholders, vendors, community partners, and applicants, documenting and resolving issues that may arise; communicate with internal staff regarding problems or delays. Assist in the identification and implementation of solutions
• Processes contracts, memorandums of agreement, and leases through Divisional Headquarters
• Provides administrative and logistical program support for regional service delivery; maintain updated contact lists for case workers, logistical partners, energy company contacts, community collaborative bodies, and referral agencies; identify office spaces and organize assistance events; develop policy and procedure manuals as requested
• Maintains positive community relationships in assigned region
• Takes part in community events promoting the utility program across the division as requested
• Supports caseworkers at corps by answering questions and providing technical assistance while processing utility applications
• Attends various conferences and educational events to stay current on the latest developments related to utility programs as determined by EAS Director
• Serves as a point of contact for utility companies and other agencies involved in utility service delivery across the division
• Travels as needed for caseworker support and program events
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
• Master's degree (preferred)
• Two or more years of management experience in human services
• Understanding of low-income populations (preferred)

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 

• Learn and adhere to The Salvation Army Social Services Code of Ethics
• Adherence to professional code of ethics
• Understand and adhere to professional boundaries within and outside of the organization
• Maintain client confidentiality and obtain appropriate releases of information
• Demonstrate a continued effort to increase self-awareness and to better understand other cultures and issues of social justice, and promote racial understanding and reconciliation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Complete Caseworker Certification Program (CCP) within 120 days of hire.

Computer Skills:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and various video conferencing platforms.
• Proficient in Wellsky software within 90 days of hire.

Certificates and Licenses: 

• Complete Safe from Harm training and keep current as needed.
• Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
