The Quincy Kroc Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented full-time Custodian to join our facilities team. In this full-time role, you'll help ensure the Kroc Center remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, staff, and program participants of all ages.

Position Details
Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Mondays-Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm
Position Overview
Custodians play a critical role in the daily operation of the Quincy Kroc Center by maintaining cleanliness, supporting safety standards, and responding to facility needs. This role focuses on detailed cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep across a large, multi-use community center while working independently and as part of a larger team.
What You'll Do
- Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including locker rooms, restrooms, fitness spaces, classrooms, offices, and common areas
- Follow established cleaning procedures, schedules, and safety guidelines
- Identify and report facility concerns, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively
- Support special events, programs, and seasonal facility needs as assigned
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and mission-centered workplace environment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and safety materials
- Two (2) years of related full-time custodial or cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated work style
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
Physical & Working Conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Regular bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment or supplies (up to 50lbs)
- Work performed in an active community center environment with varying noise levels
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, fitness equipment, and high-traffic activity areas
