What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Staff position at The Salvation Army Central Territory?
Position Summary: The Activities Staff supports all camp programs, activities, operations and staff during camp.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist counselors and camp staff in teaching or leading any camp activities
- Participate in all camp programming
- Attend all training meetings and staff devotions
- Utilize training to assist at waterfront, target sports, or ropes course as needed
- Assist in snack shop, kitchen and dining hall as directed
- Assist with camp chores, showing good sportsmanship and table manners
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
- CPR & AED, Lifeguard, ACCT belaying & facilitating, NRA RSO and NASP Basic Archery Instructor or willing to participate in training for the appropriate certification
