The Salon People – Aveda Florida, based in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking a Salon Development Partner (SDP) to join our team who is located in the Jacksonville area! We are looking for someone who has the passion to Inspire, Educate, Consult, Coach, and Engage a dynamic group of salon owners, managers, and their teams throughout Florida with care.  The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000 based on experience.

 
Primary Responsibilities: The Salon Development Partner is expected to meet or exceed annual sales objectives for given region by successfully and consistently delivering the “SDP In-Salon Promise” to Aveda salons in our network helping to ensure the growth of the Aveda artists, the Aveda salons and as a result, growth in our company. Engage to empower staff within salon in the territory to have more confidence in their elevated service cycle, while becoming raving fans of Aveda Hair Color and Aveda Products.

Job Description, Responsibilities & Benefits


Primary Responsibilities: 

The Salon Development Partner is expected to meet or exceed annual sales objectives for given region by successfully and consistently delivering the “SDP In-Salon Promise” to Aveda salons in our network helping to ensure the growth of the Aveda artists, the Aveda salons and as a result, growth in our company. Engage to empower staff within salon in the territory to have more confidence in their elevated service cycle, while becoming raving fans of Aveda Hair Color and Aveda Products.


In Salon Activities and Follow Up - Desired Outcome: inspiration, confidence, retention, brand loyalty with product knowledge, education, elevated service cycles, consistent replenishment, and growth for artists, the salons, and our company.


· Plan & Prepare for Salon visits to ensure the salon can meet their weekly retail goal and new guest goal as wel as replenish retail and professional product effectively to ensure growth.  Before each salon visit you will review specific data including salon performance, reports, education participation, past recaps, last replenishment order, and you will prep and print all supplies needed for an effective salon visit.  Reinforce leadership webinars & the Updates Page for up-to-date information and tools.

· Connect, celebrate and engage with the salon's artists and teams.  Celebrate salon and specific artists with significant growth and share on social media.

· Discover: Observe the team, guest interaction, the salon and the store set-up and functionality. Review the Store Checklist with 

Beauty Experience Concierge to ensure the salon is fully set up for success and with adequate product for their profitability: Salon Execution Guide, Learning Wall, Retail Zones, Smashbox Unit, Shampoo Area, Spa Area, Breakroom, and Stylist Station Setup. Recommend a retail or professional order when needed to ensure their success. Be a role model and coach the team in the retail store.

· Provide Solutions for More Aveda & More Guests. Demo “Meet me at the Wall” for key product franchises as well as discovery of guests needs. Excite artists to enroll in Happy Hour, Club Calls and other education. Reinforce the Aveda Salon Service Promise, lifetime value of guests, referral chip program, asking for reviews, and care for the best Aveda experience possible.

· Overcome Objections to build competence and confidence within the salon’s team using the coaching model: Tell them, show them, show them again, have them show you. Identify obstacles preventing $22 RPCT and help them remove the roadblocks. Confirm team participation and registration for Aveda Immersion & Advanced Education.

· Confirm to close the visit by debriefing on-site leadership before departing the salon. Secure replenishment order and confirm the date and time of your next visit.

· Follow Up with excellence through execution. Use the CARE framework: celebrate, animate, retail, and empower to recap the salon visit in Salesforce. Submit replenishment order to Customer Care and document all action items. Create Salesforce event for next visit.

Requirements

General Requirements & Minimum Qualifications: 

· 3 years’ experience in a management position/sales or salon network

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Committed to providing outstanding customer service

· Computer literate, business writing and communication skills

· Flexible and when needed working some weekends and evenings

· Ability to travel: 80% of the time throughout the assigned territory

· Licensed Cosmetologist is a plus, but not a requirement

· Knowledge of Aveda products and experience in the Aveda network a plus

· Solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail culture and beauty industry

· Deep understanding of the salon industry and current trends.

· Ability to see problems and develop action plans to get past them (i.e., inventory/stock issues)

· Demonstrated results through strategic thinking

· Charismatic individual with strong negotiation and communication talents

· Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with multi-unit management skills

· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
