Overview
The Salon People – Aveda Florida, based in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking a Field Operations Logistics Partner who is located in the St. Petersburg / Largo area to join our team at a designated office. This is not a remote/home office role. This Field Operations Logistics Partner needs to have a passion for excellence while they work behind the scenes to help inspire Aveda Artists and our Aveda Florida Network through impeccable set-up and preparation for education, events, product launches and other field operations. The compensation for this role is $60,000 per year.
Primary Responsibilities: The Field Operations Logistics Partner is responsible for executing the day-to-day operational, printing, fulfillment, and office/warehouse functions that support the organization. As the primary on-site team member in a predominantly remote organization, this role owns the physical workspace and ensures the seamless flow of all materials, orders, shipments, and deliveries. This individual serves as the central hub for distribution logistics, managing everything from printing and inventory to shipping, vendor sourcing, and operational support. This is a hands-on, highly accountable role that requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage a wide range of responsibilities.

Job Description, Responsibilities & Benefits
Primary Responsibilities Overview
· This is a hands-on operational position that supports the behind-the-scenes logistics of our Aveda education programs, company events, and product launches.
· This role focuses on logistics, materials coordination, inventory management, and operational execution required to successfully deliver education classes and events.
· This position is highly hands-on and operations focused, responsible for preparing, packing, shipping, receiving, and maintaining the tools, materials, and inventory used for our education programs. The role also supports event setup and onsite coordination when needed.
· This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, systems, logistics, and operational execution, and takes pride in making sure every detail is prepared and ready for the team.
· Working closely with the Education & Events Manager, this position ensures that the operational details behind our Aveda education programs and events are organized, prepared, and executed with excellence.
Distribution, Printing & Fulfillment
· Oversee all printing needs for the organization, including:
- Field team tools and resources
- Salon materials
- Educational materials (booklets, guides, pamphlets, signage, etc.)
· Determine appropriate production specifications (paper type, cardstock, binding, sizing, formatting)
· Ensure all materials are produced accurately, on brand, and on time
· Coordinate packing, shipping, and delivery to salons, events, and field teams
· Track shipments and resolve any delivery or fulfillment issues
Shipping, Receiving. Office Storage & Warehouse Ownership
· Own all incoming and outgoing shipments, including UPS, FedEx, freight, and local deliveries
· Receive, inspect, and organize all deliveries
· Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing materials with accuracy and efficiency
· Maintain full responsibility for office storage and warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational flow
· Ensure materials are staged and ready for timely distribution
Order Entry & Inventory Management
· Enter and process education and material orders accurately
· Track incoming, outgoing, and returned inventory
· Maintain accurate inventory counts across all materials
· Manage surplus inventory and ensure proper storage
· Support inventory audits and reporting as needed
Vendor Sourcing & Cost Management
· Source materials, merchandise, and printing supplies
· Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
· Negotiate pricing and ensure cost efficiency
· Evaluate vendor performance (quality, turnaround time, reliability)
· Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs
Cross-Functional & Operational Support
· Serve as a flexible operations resource across the organization
· Support distribution needs for product launches, initiatives, and field execution
· Assist with miscellaneous operational and logistical needs as they arise
· Partner with remote team members to ensure seamless execution of requests
· Provide onsite operational support for events and education programs occasionally when needed
Call Center Support (Backup Role)
· Provide backup support for inbound salon orders during high call volume periods
· Accurately enter orders while delivering a positive and professional experience
· Maintain a warm, friendly, and solution-oriented tone with salon partners

· Physical & Operational Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to transport own luggage while traveling.
- Ability to pack, unpack, and organize materials and tools
- Comfort working in an office and warehouse-style storage environment
- Ability to stand and assist with event setup when needed
- Ability to handle multiple physical and logistical tasks during event preparation or shipping periods
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
