A DAY IN THE LIFE →

You’re up early — coffee in hand, steel toes on.

You might start your day checking on a lead you spotted in the paper, calling an architect to ask who’s behind a new design, or walking into a manufacturer’s office just to introduce yourself.

You know how to start a conversation and keep it alive. You’re out in the field more than you’re at a desk, learning what’s happening in your market, who’s building what, and how DESCCO can bring value to the table before the first drawing’s even done.

You’ll work side by side with our Estimator and Project Managers, connecting the dots between what a client wants and what it actually takes to get it built. You’ll uncover needs, translate ideas into scope, and stay in front of people until the timing’s right.

Most leads won’t land in your inbox. You’ll find them out in the community. Some days, that means cold calls. Other days, it’s Chamber events, plant tours, or a walk-through of a potential site. You’re the bridge between “thinking about it” and “let’s get started.”

You’ll bring energy, follow-through, and the kind of persistence that keeps you top-of-mind when the next project comes around.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE →

You’ve sold in or around construction — maybe equipment, roofing, or materials — and you know what it takes to earn trust in this industry. You’re not afraid to pick up the phone, knock on a door, or roll up your sleeves to understand a project. You track your work, follow every lead, and don’t stop until you’ve got a clear yes or no.

You’re ethical, driven, and genuinely like people. You believe good work and good relationships go hand in hand. If you already know the lay of the land in Berks County — the businesses, the builders, the backroads — even better.

LOCATION →

This role is based in Fleetwood, PA, covering projects within roughly 100 miles. We want you home at night, because good employees make good projects, and balance matters here.

You’ll be in the office enough to stay connected, but your work happens out there — with the people building, planning, and making things happen.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS →

We take care of our people the way we expect you to take care of our customers: fair, honest, and with follow-through.

This role offers a base salary between $80,000 and $90,000, with on-target earnings of $160,000 and top performers exceeding $180,000 annually through large multi-year project volume. For candidates who prefer a higher-risk, higher-reward setup, we’re also open to a 100% commission structure with a draw in place of a base salary.

You’ll be equipped with a company vehicle, laptop, phone, and business credit card. Health, dental, and vision insurance start on day one, with a Health Savings or Reimbursement Account that contributes up to $1,500 per year. You’ll also have access to a performance and deferred compensation bonus program, a 401(k) with a 3% company match after one year, and paid holidays and vacation that can be used before they are fully accrued.
