Job Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) drives pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads for the client’s industrial software solutions. This role serves as one of the first touchpoints for prospects and helps set the tone for the sales cycle. The SDR works closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure timely follow-up on inbound leads, manage event-generated opportunities, and deliver qualified leads that support revenue growth while contributing market insights on customer needs and preferences.
Role Overview
The SDR focuses on understanding the challenges faced by clients in the manufacturing sector and initiating relationships with potential customers. Core responsibilities include outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, event lead management, and early-stage qualification. The role requires close collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams to maintain a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities, support campaigns, and nurture prospects through the sales funnel in a collaborative, learning-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and qualify key decision-makers through outbound prospecting
- Follow up promptly on inbound marketing leads
- Conduct qualification meetings to understand prospect needs and determine fit
- Transfer qualified opportunities to the sales team
- Manage and nurture leads generated from events
- Collaborate with strategic account executives to develop account intelligence, stakeholder maps, and use cases
- Conduct phone, email, and social media outreach
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the client’s product offerings
- Clearly communicate product value to prospects
- Create personalized outreach messages for key stakeholders
- Continuously optimize outbound and inbound efforts
- Conduct account research and planning for target accounts
- Support marketing campaigns through outreach and post-campaign follow-up
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in sales development within the technology or industrial sector
- Experience using sales tools including ZoomInfo, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Outreach, and 6Sense
- Experience in the Energy and/or Manufacturing industry (preferred), Interest or experience in the AI space
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to understand customer initiatives, pain points, and requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production goals
- Willingness to learn the Manufacturing vertical
- Comfortable with travel across the US and Europe
- Ability to work independently without micromanagement; Experience collaborating with global teams across time zones
