Media Manager

Summary

The Media Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of our media presence across all channels—paid, earned, owned, and digital. This is a broad, channel-agnostic role that sits at the intersection of media strategy, content, and brand, ensuring our story reaches the right audiences through the right channels at the right time.

The Media Manager oversees channel execution across social media, paid advertising, email, PR, influencer partnerships, digital content, and out-of-home or experiential media as relevant. All media activity must be grounded in the overall company strategy, brand objectives, and commercial priorities. They are equally comfortable setting a media strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute it. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of the modern media landscape, and a genuine passion for food and mission-driven brands. This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Integrated Media Planning: Develop and manage the integrated media plan across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels, ensuring all strategies are aligned with overall company objectives and brand strategy. Translate brand and campaign objectives into audience targeting approaches and media mix recommendations that maximize reach, engagement, and ROI.
  • Paid Media Execution & Optimization: Plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns across digital platforms and programmatic channels. Manage budgets, bidding strategies, creative testing, and performance reporting to drive efficient results against campaign KPIs.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee our presence across all social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Ensure consistent brand voice, posting cadence, and community engagement across channels. Monitor platform trends and algorithm changes to keep strategy current and effective.
  • Content Strategy & Calendar Management: Build and maintain a unified content and media calendar that coordinates activity across social, email, paid, PR, and digital channels. Align all content with brand campaigns, product launches, seasonal moments, and key retail or foodservice initiatives.
  • Email Marketing: Own our email marketing channel end to end, from strategy and list growth to campaign execution, segmentation, copywriting, and performance analysis. Set and track email KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversion, and subscriber growth.
  • Influencer & Creator Partnerships: Develop and manage an influencer and content creator program that authentically extends our reach within the culinary, food, and wellness communities. Identify, recruit, and brief creators; negotiate contracts; and ensure all deliverables are met on brand and on time.
  • PR & Earned Media Support: Collaborate with the Brand Director and any external PR partners to support earned media efforts including press outreach, media pitching, and coverage tracking. Identify story angles and support the development of press materials that drive visibility in trade, consumer, and food industry media.
  • Website & Digital Content: Oversee the planning and publishing of digital content including campaign landing pages, recipe content, blog posts, and SEO-driven website updates. Coordinate with vendors, photographers, and the creative team to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery.
  • Experiential & Event Media: Support brand presence at farmers markets, trade shows, culinary events, and experiential activations by coordinating media capture, live content, and post-event amplification across channels.
  • Media Analytics & Reporting: Own performance reporting across all media channels. Track and analyze key metrics including reach, impressions, engagement, conversion, and media spend efficiency. Translate data into actionable insights and present regular performance updates to the Brand Director and broader marketing team.
  • Budget Management: Manage the media budget across channels, ensuring efficient allocation of spend to maximize impact and ROI. Monitor pacing, reconcile invoices, and provide regular budget updates to leadership.
  • Vendor & Agency Management: Manage relationships with media vendors, agencies, platforms, and technology partners. Evaluate and onboard new tools and platforms as the media landscape evolves.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Brand Director, culinary business development, and sales teams to ensure all media activity is anchored in overall company strategy and supports broader brand, retail, and foodservice goals. Provide media insights that inform product launches, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
