WE ARE HIRING: Coos County Residential Readiness Advocate!
Small team, big dreams! The SAFE Project is looking for a highly motivated, empathetic self-starter to join us in supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Coos County.
Note: This position is for Coos County residents only.
POSITION: Residential Readiness Advocate
LOCATION: Dual-site (Emergency Shelter & Outreach Office)
THE ROLE: We are seeking a Residential Readiness Advocate, a unique role designed for someone who is passionate about helping survivors move from crisis to long-term stability. This position is split between our emergency shelter and our outreach office, focusing on preparing survivors for their next steps toward permanent, sustainable living. Duties will also include general direct services provided to survivors, such as support, information and referral, personal accompaniment, safety planning, etc.
SCHEDULE: Full time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm (paid lunch break), plus required rotational participation on our 24-hour crisis response team.
PAY: The starting pay for this entry-level advocacy position is $18.00–$19.00/HR, commensurate with experience. This rate is established for candidates new to the field of domestic violence services; compensation may be considered for those with prior certified advocacy or housing readiness experience. Compensation also includes Crisis Response Team bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and paid travel and training opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:
*Ability to pass a criminal background check including determination of suitability to work with minors
*Valid Oregon Drivers License and reliable transportation
*Ability to participate on the 24-Hour Crisis Hotline, on a week-long rotationary basis
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and basic business applications like Zoom, Teams, etc.
*Availability to travel for training purposes
