Position: Mobile RV Technician / Field Service Mechanic
Pay: $18 – $40 per hour (based on experience)
Location: St. Petersburg, FL – Pinellas County residents preferred

Based in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, we travel across Pinellas County and surrounding areas in our fully equipped service vans, keeping RVers rolling and adventures alive.
Our customers are on once-in-a-lifetime journeys, and we make sure their RVs are road-ready, safe, and comfortable. Every repair, installation, and inspection we do directly impacts someone’s travel dream.
The Role – Mobile RV Technician
As a Mobile RV Technician with The RV Nerds, you’ll have the opportunity to work in the field—not stuck in a shop—providing on-site service for RV owners. You’ll drive a company-provided service van to RV parks, campgrounds, storage facilities, and customer homes to perform inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
Daily Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair RV systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, slide-outs, and more
- Perform professional RV installations and preventative maintenance
- Drive company service van to customer locations throughout Pinellas County
- Communicate clearly with RV owners, explaining repair needs and solutions
- Document services, parts used, and recommendations for follow-up work
Qualifications
- 1 year of RV Technician experience required
- 3 years of RV Technician experience preferred
- RVIA Certification preferred
- Must own a set of tools (specialty tools provided when necessary)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Pinellas County resident preferred
