Pay: $18.00 - $24.00/hour (DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE)
Schedule: 1 DAY PER WEEK WITH PER DIEM OPEN AVAILABLITY
MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND ABLE TO WORK ALL SHIFTS
We are specifically hiring for PART TIME – If you're a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, or a RADT working toward your CADC-I, we want to meet you.
The Runway Recovery is a 12-bed Detox and Residential Treatment Center located in Santa Ana, CA. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate and structured care for individuals overcoming addiction. This role is ideal for medical support staff or aspiring substance abuse counselors looking to grow in the recovery field.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are preferably seeking BHTS that have RADTs / SUDCRs and are actively working toward their Drug and Alcohol Counselor certification (must provide proof). Strong ethics, reliability, and swing shift availability are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client care during the swing shift in a detox/residential setting
- Conduct client intakes and complete admission assessments
- Perform medication audits and support medication self-administration
- Monitor and document vital signs and behavioral status
- Facilitate psychoeducation or process groups (training provided)
- Support clients experiencing withdrawal symptoms or emotional dysregulation
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
- Cook and serve simple meals for clients
- Transport clients to appointments or outside commitments (using company vehicle)
- Conduct routine safety rounds and maintain a secure environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility during shift hours
- Document all interactions and observations accurately in KIPU EMR
- Communicate effectively with clinical, medical, and administrative teams
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and maintain healthy professional boundaries
What You Need (Must Meet ONE of the Following):
✅ SUDCR with documented progress toward SUDCC
✅ RADT with documented progress toward CADC-I
✅ VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
Additional Requirements:
- CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
- Negative TB test within the last 30 days
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and initiative
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in detox or residential substance abuse treatment setting
- Familiarity with 12-step recovery language and model
- Experience using KIPU EMR (preferred, not required)

- 8-hour shifts (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
