Operations Manager (Part-Time) – The Ruff House
The Ruff House is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work directly with ownership overseeing systems, staff, and overall operations across daycare, boarding, grooming, and retail.
This role is focused on oversight, structure, accountability, and growth — not daily task coverage.
This is not an entry-level position.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Oversee operations across daycare, boarding, grooming, and retail
- Ensure systems, workflows, and processes are in place and consistently followed
- Create structure, accountability, and clear expectations for staff
- Identify gaps and implement operational improvements
- Oversee team performance and maintain high standards
- Maintain smooth flow across grooming, boarding, and front desk operations
- Oversee retail organization, merchandising, and sales performance
- Support growth through add-ons, upgrades, and overall revenue awareness
- Oversee and ensure consistency in marketing, social media, and promotions
- Work directly with ownership to improve efficiency and support business growth
Requirements:
- Strong experience running or managing a business or multi-department operation
- Background in dog daycare, boarding, or grooming management required
- Experience with retail sales and merchandising
- Strong knowledge of systems, scheduling, and operations management
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets, scheduling software, and general business tools
- Comfortable tracking data, organizing reports, and improving workflows
- Understanding of marketing, social media, and promotions
- Proven ability to build and maintain systems and processes
- Experience managing staff and holding teams accountable
- Able to operate independently and make decisions
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
Position Details:
