Prep Cook Position Available (Full-Time or Part-Time)
The Royal Tern is looking for a reliable prep cook to support our kitchen team and help set the foundation for exceptional nightly service.
Who You Are: You're detail-oriented and take pride in consistency. You understand that great dinner service starts with excellent prep work. You're comfortable working independently, following recipes precisely, and maintaining the high standards our upscale seafood concept demands.
What You'll Do:
- Execute daily prep lists with accuracy and efficiency
- Break down and portion proteins, including seafood butchery
- Prepare vegetables, sauces, stocks, and other mise en place components
- Label, date, and store all prepared items following proper food safety protocols
- Keep prep areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
- Communicate with the culinary team about prep needs and inventory levels
- Support line cooks during service when needed
