What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Lead/Keyholder position at The Royal Standard?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Initiating and developing customer relationships, and resolving customer service issues.
- Working a POS to tender sales, make exchanges, refunds, transfers, etc.
- Reach or exceed store sales goals and motivating sales staff to reach or exceed store sales goals.
- Following and enforcing store policies with customers and employees.
- Merchandise displays, signage, to promote sales.
- Cleanliness and overall store appearance.
- Tags merchandise and double checks for errors or corrections.
- Calculates sales discounts.
- Maintaining inventory and store supply levels.
- Ensuring required store opening and closing duties are complete.
- Delegating daily tasks to associates and supervising associate activities while acting as the Manager on Duty.
- Communicating with and assisting the Store Manager with any and all operations of the store.
- Special projects as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with customers and employees.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers information.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions and utilize POS, email, and Microsoft Office products (Excel & Word)
- Proactively takes initiative in seeking opportunities for improvements and to provide support and assistance
- Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work 16 hours per week
- Ability to work 2 closing shifts per week
- Ability to work 2 Saturday per month (Full or part day)
- Ability to work 2 Sundays per month from open to close (11:45am - 6:15pm)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stand and walk 4-5 hours at a time.
- Must have ability to view a computer screen accurately.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another employee.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years previous retail sales experience.
- High School Degree or equivalent
