Role Overview
The Roxy Hotel is an electric destination for music, film, and art, located on the border of SoHo and TriBeCa is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to manage the morning service of the bar, lounge, room service and the front and back of the house with weekend availability a must.
A Food & Beverage Floor Manager has exceptional communication and guest service skills. As a member of the overall hotel management team; Food & Beverage Floor Managers are on the front line with communicating directly to guest and Team Members (TMs). As a key figure of the management team; you have the ability to enhance guest experiences but also are instrumental in the development of a positive and hospitality driven staff culture. F&B Floor Managers are responsible for managing and guiding the service experience at all venues under the supervision of the Roxy Bar & Lounge. This requires all F&B Floor Managers to have a detailed grasp of all steps of service, complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items we serve. The F&B Floor manager directly oversees and ensures that the quality of service in both the bar and lounge areas exceeds expectations. The F&B Floor Manager is required to ensure the proper execution of all aspects of our beverage program, in room dining service, as well as ensuring all food being delivered to all guests meet specifications. To be a successful F&B Floor Manager, you must have a professional appearance as well as the ability to connect with our guest and TMs. A F&B Floor Manager must be an active member of service; being efficient, stepping in when necessary, able to operate with speed during service and finding opportunities to engage guests and showcase our property.
Responsibilities include:
- Floor presence, ensuring service standards are consistent
- Training and evaluating team members in their roles
- Holding all TMs equally accountable.
- Conducting effective Pre-shifts
- Scheduling and payroll
- Assisting with Inventory Controls
- Building strong rapport with guests
- Must have working knowledge of Resy and Micros
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of Excel and Word are required
- Able to work effectively with all department managers
- Required to work the hours necessary to the success of the business. Schedules are not guaranteed and are subject to change weekly. These hours will vary due to the volume of business and other management coverage. Changes are at discretion of the Food & Beverage Director.
