Job Summary
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our gaming property and its patrons. Your duties will include responding to security incidents and providing a visible security presence in the property. You will also observe patrons participating in gambling activities to detect and respond to infractions of house rules. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and integrity while representing the casino in all interactions with guests. We are looking for someone who is attentive, reliable, and capable of making sound judgment in difficult situation.
Stands post for extended times as assigned by manager.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

- Check identification for gaming floor admittance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Controls and diffuses potential problems and assists employees and guests in emergencies.
- Will be required to drive a company vehicle
- Investigate incidents and compose written reports, as well as observing, handling, and reporting procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
- Records investigation and incident reports in a timely manner.
- Assists with the transfer of money from gaming floor.
- Experience within law enforcement, military, security, or customer service to equal one year, or pursuing a degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, related field, or in-pursuit of one of these degrees.
- Successful completion of an in-house training program.
- Ability to communicate and comprehend information and ideas in spoken and written English so others will understand.
- Ability to accept, prioritize and follow through on work direction.
