Position Summary
The PRS Worker works directly with youth and families to teach, model, and reinforce social, emotional, and daily living skills as outlined in individualized treatment plans. Under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), the PRS Worker provides skill-building interventions designed to promote independence, emotional regulation, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement psychosocial rehabilitation interventions under the supervision of a QMHP.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with clients to develop coping, communication, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Model positive behaviors and assist clients in applying learned skills in real-life situations.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation of services.
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, families, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and Medicaid standards.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 year working with youth or individuals with behavioral or emotional challenges preferred.
- Must pass a background check and hold/obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Car insurance Policy with appropriate coverage (you will be driving children around)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes or community settings as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage (based on experience and education).
- This is an independent contractor position, you will be 1099.
