Role Description
The firm seeks an Associate Attorney who is an independent "self-starter", is comfortable multi-tasking, and one who thrives in fast paced environments ... a driven, extremely hard working, focused, diligent, very personable, efficient, and highly organized candidate who shares our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and client service. This Associate will be entrepreneurial and excited to manage and his/her own transactional files, while simultaneously understanding and appreciating the importance of marketing/client development in order to assist with the continued growth and expansion of a thriving practice, on the path to partnership. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with other attorneys and staff on a daily basis, with substantial client interaction, so the selected candidate must be an outgoing "team-player" with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of matters including, without limitation:
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, wills, trusts, power of attorney and health care proxy instruments, notes, mortgages, probate petitions and related ancillary documents, summary proceeding petitions and related ancillary documents, foreclosure pleadings and related ancillary documents, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, asset purchase agreements, stock transfer agreements, and other legal documents;
- Business formation (limited liability companies, corporations, partnerships);
- Attending residential and commercial real estate closings on behalf of buyers, sellers and lenders; and
- Making court appearances as may be required.
Salary is commensurate with experience (Range: $65K to $75K to start). This full-time, on-site position offers full benefits including health insurance and Simple IRA with employer matching component.

Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in real estate law, estate planning and administration, and business law is preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to "multi-task" and work collaboratively in team environment
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing - New York State Bar
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
