Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Assists the lead person in directing the maintenance activities of assigned personnel. Inspects, repairs, overhauls, and modifies fuel systems equipment on assigned aircraft. Instructs personnel in on and off-equipment inspection and repair. Assumes the duties of leadman in his absence. Assists in maintaining TO files, bench stock, and shop support stocks. Uses supply forms and machine runs to track DIFM assets. Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is proficient in CAMS documentation. Familiar with test equipment and calibration procedures. Complies with time compliance technical orders. Performs on and off-equipment maintenance. Conducts on-the-job training for less experienced personnel. Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times. In coordination with the section supervisor and the training specialist, provides on-the-job training of employees and evaluation of employee qualifications. May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections. Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct. Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with base agencies. Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel. Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required. Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
Possesses a thorough knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of aircraft components and aircraft fuel systems maintenance. High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Specialized related courses are required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must have a minimum of four years recent experience in aircraft fuel systems repair. AFSC 454XX or equivalent is required; however, at company discretion, this may be waived if the individual can meet the training requirements stipulated in TO 1-1-3. When using a respirator, must be able to obtain a good face piece-to-face seal. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL. Must be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces. Physical exertion requirement is medium.
