RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

A working lead who directs maintenance tasks and provides training, supervision, and guidance to assigned personnel in the maintenance of aircraft. Monitors the maintenance activities of assigned personnel. Coordinates maintenance efforts with Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) to ensure timely return of aircraft to mission capable status. Ensures that assigned personnel have access to and use adequate technical data during all phases of aircraft maintenance. Ensures personnel are trained and practice good housekeeping, tool control, supply discipline, FOD awareness/prevention, proper disposal of materials, and safety at all times. Monitors the status of aircraft and coordinates efforts with subordinate personnel, supervisory personnel, and MOC. Monitors QC reports and ensures that corrective measures are implemented to improve maintenance quality and prevent the development of adverse trends. Conducts inspections of aircraft and system maintenance to ensure quality and completeness. Reviews aircraft records for accuracy and completeness. Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is proficient in CAMS documentation. In coordination with the production supervisor and the training instructor, provides training to employees. Reviews training products for accuracy and schedules personnel for required training. Assists assigned personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components and in determining reparability and serviceability. Reviews aircraft records and work cards to ensure required maintenance has been performed, hourly and calendar tracked events are current, and all associated documentation has been completed. Ensures there is a positive working relationship and interface with other sections and the customer. Inspects completed work and evaluates employee performance. Completes employee performance reviews. Provides an evaluation of employee performance and recommends actions to improve employee performance to the supervisor. Monitors ground handling of aircraft and other maintenance requirements associated with turnaround of aircraft scheduled for flight, where applicable. Ensures ground safety measures are observed in refueling, oxygen servicing, and starting and taxing of aircraft, where applicable. Monitors and performs operational, functional, and rig checks of flight control, landing gear, and throttle control systems, where applicable. Ensures crash recovery teams are trained and equipment is maintained IA W standards, where applicable. Coordinates section activities in the absence of the production supervisor. May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections. May be required to be qualified on different MDS aircraft. Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct. Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies. Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel. Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required. Receives cross-utilization training (CUT) and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications

An in-depth knowledge of the applicable aircraft is required. A thorough working knowledge of applicable technical publications is required. Must have extensive knowledge of systems maintenance and operations of the applicable aircraft. High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Must read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to accurately interpret technical data. Specialized aircraft maintenance courses are required. The ability to read and interpret technical data and special operating instructions is required. A minimum of five years recent aircraft maintenance experience is required. Four years experience in a supervisory position is required. Two years recent experience on the applicable aircraft as an aircraft mechanic or equivalent is required. T-lA experience must be T-lA or Beech Jet 400 experience. Completion of a military or civilian aviation maintenance school and possession of a diploma or certificate of completion are required. In lieu of formal training, a minimum of five years recent experience in aviation maintenance as an aircraft mechanic or equivalent and completion of Air Force 3 Level CDC Aircraft Mechanic Course or equivalent is required. Good verbal and written communication skills and leadership ability are required. Must have demonstrated leadership ability. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line drivers license. Physical exertion requirement is medium.
