Position Description	Ensures the Rockford Park District's Atwood Park is safe, clean, and enjoyable through proper maintenance and operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Operational Excellence

Establish and maintain a high level of citizen confidence.
Demonstrates the principles of One Team, One Goal in daily interactions with staff and guest.
Support and ensure a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging exists in all areas of the Park District
The purpose of this position is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for Rockford Park District employees, customers.
Sets up tables and chairs for weekend rentals ensuring furniture and rooms are clean prior to and after rentals.
Acts as weekend rental and Saturday Public hours host.
Performs simple maintenance duties to the buildings, facilities, grounds, and equipment according to required specifications for safety and appearance.
Performs frequent routine safety checks on buildings, grounds, and equipment; files safety reports as required.
Performs routine cleaning of building, floors, windows, restrooms, carpets, trash removal, grounds, sidewalks, trash pick-up and snow removal.
Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization.
Performs simple repairs to buildings, equipment, machinery, and vehicles as assigned according to Park District general maintenance procedures.
Follows preventive maintenance schedule and performs simple preventive maintenance to equipment as assigned.
Effectively and safely operates Park District equipment including vehicles and mowers as required.
Effectively and safely operates trimmers, mowers, saws, drills and other hand tools as required.
Responsible for the opening and closing of the facilities.
Assists with delivery of supplies to various facilities
Provides quality customer service to all patrons, guests, and other District employees.
