Role Overview
As a Kitchen Team member at The Rock Store, you will work closely with the Chef and kitchen leadership to prepare high-quality meals for our guests. You’ll assist with line cooking, hot case production, grab-and-go items, and general kitchen operations—ensuring everything leaving the kitchen meets our standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.
This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a strong team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare burgers, sandwiches, and other menu items to order while maintaining consistent quality and speed.
- Hot Case Support: Stock, rotate, and maintain fresh, visually appealing grab-and-go items.
- Kitchen Support: Assist with prep work, ingredient organization, station setup, and meal assembly.
- Quality Control: Ensure every plate meets The Rock Store’s standards for taste, presentation, and accuracy.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workstation while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly.
- Adaptability: Support new menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings as directed by kitchen leadership.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
- Ability to consistently prepare high-quality food.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow direction and take ownership.
Job Details
- Type: Part-time preferred, Full-time possible
- Pay: Starting at $15/hour tips, based on experience
