Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Estimator and Project Manager to join our masonry construction team. The person will be responsible for doing construction take-offs, negotiating prices, managing project bids, ordering long-lead items, assisting in project management and help with running the day to day activities of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project management, and possess excellent negotiation skills.
Duties
- Manage the construction estimating process from start to finish
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications
- Utilize software such as OnScreen Takeoff and Bluebeam to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate bidding
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Oversee the contract review process
- Organize and maintain project files and documents, as well as review change orders and drawings changes
- Assist in the management of all projects, including procurement of materials.
-Organize and maintain materials and accessories stored in the warehouse
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and other relevant software would be preferred
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands required as a Subcontractor
-Must be self-motivated, able to stay focused and on-task while working along, and be able to ask questions and seek guidance when they need it.
-Basic ability to read Architectural and Structural construction drawings and shop drawings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,275.00 - $90,000.00 per year
