We’re partnering with a growing food manufacturing organization seeking an experienced
Packaging Engineering Manager to lead packaging strategy, innovation, and execution across new and existing products. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide packaging design from concept through commercialization, balancing product protection, sustainability, cost, and consumer experience.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a packaging engineer, supporting development, performance, and collaboration
- Own packaging projects from ideation through launch
- Design and improve primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions
- Lead line trials, validation testing, and performance evaluations
- Optimize materials based on durability, sustainability, and cost
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, innovation, sustainability, marketing, regulatory, and project management teams
- Ensure packaging integrity through manufacturing, distribution, storage, and end use
- Collaborate with purchasing and production to determine feasibility and cost
- Build strong relationships with packaging suppliers and stay current on industry advancements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or related field
- 6–10 years of packaging engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials including plastics, films, PET, corrugated, and paper
- Experience with packaging design, performance testing, and specification development
- Familiarity with TOPS or similar palletization / load optimization software
- Proficiency in CAD tools and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
- Strong collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- CAPES certification is a plus

Salary : $115,000 - $160,000
