The River Merchant in Kent, OH is looking for a part time barback or full time barback/general support staff to join our Bar Team for the summer patio season. Our establishment is located at 911 North Mantua Street in Kent, Ohio, featuring a seasonal patio overlooking the Cuyahoga River. Our hours of operation are: 4 PM–10:00PM (Mon), 11 AM–10:00 PM (Tues–Sun).
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, hard-working and takes initiative in providing tailored personal service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Warmly Greet Guests Fill Water Glasses
- Clean and maintain bartender's tools
- Communicate Guest Needs to Bartender
- Bus and Pre-Bus Bar Top/ Tables
- Empty Bus Bins
- Restock Bar Products
- Change kegs
- Clean and polish glassware
- General Bar Preparation
Qualifications
- Credible Restaurant/Food Service Experience
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Quick work pace for a fast environment
- Ability to assess station needs and act accordingly
- Great spoken communication
- Ability to lift liquor cases and ice buckets
