Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through the reservation process
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate booking schedules efficiently
- Assist guests with check-in procedures, ensuring smooth flow at the bay stations
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services, booking availability, and event details while maintaining proper phone etiquette
- Operate restaurant table management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and surrounding areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely seating, guest satisfaction, and smooth operation of the bay experience
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Experience with restaurant reservation management and table management systems
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organizational skills and basic math proficiency for processing transactions and managing reservations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Professional phone communication skills and proper phone etiquette are essential
- Previous food service experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with guest relations and service standards
