Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Sous Chef located in Truckee, CA. The Senior Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation, and partner closely with the culinary team to maintain standards of excellence. Responsibilities include mentoring and training kitchen staff, managing food inventory, maintaining kitchen sanitation, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to craft innovative menus while adhering to health and safety regulations. Qualifications
- Proficiency in meal preparation, plating techniques, and the use of kitchen equipment
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and managing kitchen staff
- Knowledge of menu development, food costing, and inventory management
- Commitment to upholding culinary quality and adhering to health safety standards
- Strong organizational skills and ability to ensure operational efficiency in a high-pressure environment
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a culinary degree is highly preferred
