Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Injury Prevention & Ergonomics Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing on-site injury prevention services, ergonomic assessments, consultations, and OSHA first aid services at an industrial facility in Daleville, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site injury prevention services, including ergonomic consultations and OSHA first aid
- Perform ergonomic assessments in both industrial and office environments
- Provide training sessions and group presentations on ergonomics and injury prevention
- Generate clear, thorough individual and site reports
- Stay current on research, tools, and products related to workplace ergonomics
Qualifications:
- Degree in a related field from an accredited university (Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Athletic Trainer, etc.)
- Certification, credentials, or strong interest in ergonomics
- Familiarity with ergonomic assessment tools (e.g., D-2, RULA)
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in public speaking and training delivery
- Strong report-writing skills and attention to detail
Schedule:
- Approximately 8 hours per week, with a flexible, on-site schedule
