Customer Service Associate

Summary:

The RipTide Car Wash is seeking a Sales Attendant to assist our customers with purchasing various car wash packages. Our Sales Attendants are incentivized to help customers save money by purchasing unlimited wash club memberships. Furthermore, RipTide’s Sales Attendants act as a resource to inform customers of any promotions we run throughout the year, answer questions regarding our various amenities/products, and welcome the customer to our site what a warm and friendly smile.

RipTide offers their Sales Attendants competitive hourly rates and uncapped commission earnings for all unlimited wash club plans sold.

Job Schedule:

• Our Gastonia location's hours of operation are 7 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Saturday.
• We will give interview preference to candidates who can work occasional weekend and closing shifts!

Pay:

• We typically start Sales Attendants at $15/hr. Candidates with prior car wash and/or sales experience are eligible for a higher hourly rate. There are opportunities for employees to receive raises periodically throughout the year (based on performance and other factors).
• Sales Attendants will receive $10 commission for each unlimited wash club plan they sell. We run various promotions throughout the year that help increase customer volume and incentivize customers to purchase unlimited wash plans.
• Over the years, RipTide has sold tens of thousands of unlimited wash plan memberships to our customers. Our most successful Sales Attendants have been able to make over $40/hour when both their hourly rate and commission bonuses are added together!
• There is NOT a cap on commission earnings! If you sell 1,000 plans in one month, then you could make $10,000 in commission!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers with a warm and friendly welcome.
• Inform customers of the differences between our wash packages and the value in purchasing our unlimited wash club memberships.
• Explain promotional offerings to our customers (when applicable).
• Answer any questions customers may have regarding any wash amenities.
• Provide the best customer service possible.
• All other duties as assigned by the location management team.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Prior sales experience is preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work outside.
