Direct Care Aid

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aid to provide essential support to individuals in an at home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our memebers. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support members with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
• Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional well-being to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all members by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Foster positive relationships with members, families, and team through effective communication and empathy.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, particularly in settings such as home care or long-term care.
• Familiarity with the needs of individuals requiring memory care or assistance with daily living activities is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
• A commitment to providing high-quality care while respecting the dignity and privacy of each individual served.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
