Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide high-quality support to residents in Rocky Hill. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a caring environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in home and community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance tailored to individual dietary needs
- Support patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or other cognitive impairments through specialized memory care techniques
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control protocols
- Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare teams including nurses, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or community care settings preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards essential
- Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and patience are essential for working effectively with residents of all ages requiring long-term or short-term support
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
