Summary of Position

This position is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages and delivering outstanding dining experience to our guests with high-quality service, and has the ability to create a memorable dining experience for our guests. Servers in all locations adhere to all health regulations and local liquor laws.  Ensures exceptional guest service and creates an inviting atmosphere.  Follows company and brand standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

  6. Treats guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
  7. Complete Departmental The Ridges Way training as assigned.
  8. Carry out the property’s It’s All Here culture in words & action.
  9. Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times. The dress code must be followed and worn at all times in public areas, including name tag.
  10. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  11. Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining a positive dining experience.
  12. Knowledgeably describe menu items, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests in making informed choices.
  13. Anticipate and fulfill guest needs promptly and courteously.
  14. Attend pre-shift meetings to receive communication regarding daily specials, important information, and service expectations.
  15. Ensure that all food and beverages meet the established quality standards before being served to guests.
  16. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
  17. Actively promote upselling techniques to maximize sales and enhance the overall guest experience.
  18. Any other duties directed by the General Manager and/or Food and Beverage Director

Work Environment

This position’s work is conducted in an indoor and outdoor environment. Working in the front of house and back of house areas are required. At times, the back of house areas could be warmer than the front of house due to the kitchen equipment. A dress code is required.

Physical Demands

Standing on your feet for most or all of your shift is often required. The lifting of supplies and equipment that may exceed 50 lbs could also be required. Bending down, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and pushing are other physical demands that may be required of you. Accepting this job indicates you understand these physical demands and are able to complete the essential functions of the job that required these physical demands.


Qualifications:

Competencies

  1. Customer Service: Strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, addressing complaints or special requests professionally.
  2. Communication: Clear and effective communication with both the service team and customers, ensuring orders and instructions are accurately conveyed.
  3. Problem-Solving: Quick thinking in resolving service issues, handling difficult customers, or managing busy periods smoothly.
  4. Time Management: Efficiently managing tasks during high-volume times, ensuring timely service while maintaining quality.
  5. Attention to Detail: Ensuring that food orders, table settings, and service standards meet or exceed expectations.
  6. Knowledge of Food & Beverage: In-depth understanding of the menu, wine pairings, dietary restrictions, and special offerings to assist both guests and staff.
  7. Technology: Proficiency in using restaurant management software for reservations, and point of sale (POS) systems.
