RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shall be responsible for medication management procedures, collaborate with and support Doctor in all aspects of medication management.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
- Documents patient care services by charting in client files and medical folder.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Shall attend Clinical Committee meetings.
- Shall conduct health education and/or psycho-educational groups as directed.
- Shall perform such additional functions as specifically requested by Directors to meet special facility patient needs, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Completion of a medical program with degree and/or certification in medication nursing
- Current First Aid, CPR and Water Safety Certificate
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in evaluating and/or treating patients. Preferred experience in working with patients in a psychiatric, mental health, or substance abuse treatment setting.
