Director of Preschool

The Ridge Preschool is seeking a warm, Christ-centered Director to lead our early years' program with professionalism, experience, and a servant's heart.

About the Role

The Director provides overall leadership for the daily operation of The Ridge Preschool, ensuring a safe, transparent, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment where children can learn and grow. The Director reports directly to the Preschool Board and works closely with teachers, staff, children, and families, while ensuring compliance with applicable licensing requirements and preschool policies.

The Ridge Preschool operates within The Ridge Church building but is a separate business entity, serving up to 70 children daily with a team of 18–20 staff, substitutes, and volunteers.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone who combines a heart for ministry with strong leadership, early years' expertise, and administrative skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate a servant's heart, love for children and families, excellent communication and organizational skills, sound judgment, integrity, flexibility, the ability to encourage and develop a team creative vision and a ‘jolly good sense of humor’!

Christian Faith

The Director affirms the Christian faith in accordance with the Bible alone. The Director is or will be an active member of The Ridge Church. They will demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit in their relationships and leadership.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in education or a child-related field is preferred. An associate degree or equivalent experience may be considered. Candidates must meet .

Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule: Year round position: Regular preschool hours, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or as needed. Summer hours are more flexible (no children in session June/July), to allow for full preparation for a successful year ahead.
• Leave: Up to 4 weeks per year.
• Compensation: $38,000–$48,000, depending on experience.
