Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized day shift Host to join our dynamic team in a fast pace restaurant environment. Day shift would be 11:00am to 3:00pm, optional dinner shifts as well. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours, ensuring timely seating.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle any guest complaints or issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Keep the host/host area clean and presentable at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ipads.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of guest relations practices within the restaurant industry is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work day shifts during the week. Dinner and weekend shifts are available as well, however day shift is mandatory.
