What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asbestos/Lead Abatement Supervisor position at The Restoration Group?
WHO WE ARE
The Restoration Group is a 24/7 emergency restoration company serving Delaware homeowners and businesses. When disaster strikes — water, fire, mold, or hazardous materials — TRG shows up fast, does the work right, and helps people get their lives back to normal. We’re growing, and we’re building the team that will take us there.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Asbestos/Lead Abatement Supervisor to lead field crews on environmental remediation projects across the Delaware area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the work inside and out, holds their crew to a high standard, and takes pride in running a tight, safe, compliant job site from start to finish.
You’ll own the field — safety, production, documentation, and team development — while working closely with the Abatement Manager, project managers, clients, and inspectors to keep every job moving without surprises.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and manage field crews on asbestos and lead abatement projects from start to finish
- Ensure all work follows OSHA, EPA, NESHAP, and Delaware state regulatory standards
- Conduct on-site safety meetings, inspections, and enforce compliance on every job
- Coordinate containment setup, negative air systems, waste handling, and final cleaning
- Review project scopes with Project Managers and verify daily production goals are on track
- Communicate clearly with office staff, clients, consultants, and inspectors throughout each project
- Complete and maintain daily paperwork, safety documentation, incident reports, and job logs
- Train and mentor technicians in proper abatement, remediation techniques, and safety protocols
- Maintain equipment and PPE — ensure crews are properly outfitted before every job
WHAT YOU NEED
Required:
- Delaware Asbestos Supervisor certification (or reciprocal state license)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in asbestos, lead, mold, or hazardous materials abatement
- Proven leadership experience managing crews of 3–10 technicians
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, state abatement laws, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret scopes, specs, and sampling reports
- Excellent communication skills — effective with both field crews and clients
- Strong organizational skills: scheduling, daily reporting, and job site coordination
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in full PPE for extended periods
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 certification
- HAZWOPER certification
- Mold remediation and/or meth decontamination experience
- Experience on commercial, industrial, occupied facility, hospital, school, or government projects
- Experience with demolition and additional environmental scopes
- Xactimate or job costing knowledge
- Familiarity with FieldFlo or similar field management software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
- Experience training and developing junior staff
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- Competitive salary — $25 – 40/hr based on experience and certifications
- A clear pay scale — every raise is tied to a specific milestone so you always know what you’re working toward
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Paid training and certification support
- Safety equipment and PPE provided
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
- You run a tight job site — safety and compliance aren’t checkbox items, they’re the standard
- Your crew knows what’s expected, and you hold them to it every day
- You communicate up and down without things falling through the cracks
- You take pride in doing technically demanding work the right way
- You want to grow with a company that’s growing and invest in the people around you
