Hotel Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well maintained. You’ll respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and help maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and department maintenance requests.
• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is operating properly and safely.
• Identify and report maintenance issues and safety concerns.
• Assist with general repairs and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Communicate the status and completion of maintenance requests to the appropriate department.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Expectations

• 1–3 years of previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing preferred.
• General knowledge of machinery and the safe use of basic hand and power tools.
• Pool certification is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic English communication skills sufficient to understand labels, instructions, and work assignments, communicate work progress and completion, and respond to basic guest requests.

Pay: $21.25 per hour
