What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant, FT 8a-4:30p position at The Residence at Fitz Farm?
Primary responsibility is to prepare (paint) apartments for occupancy.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECK TO QUALIFY FOR EMPLOYMENT.
SUMMARY: Performs routine maintenance and repair of residence, maintaining physical appearance of the grounds and building as well as ensuring that the building is physically sound and safe. Works with outside contractors as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requires the skill to perform maintenance functions on the building and grounds. The ability to develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules and safety standards is essential. The ability to exercise good judgment and make confident ethical decisions is essential. Must be able to effectively manage time in order to complete multiple tasks. The ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing is essential. Requires frequent heavy lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and stretching. Requires moving of heavy furniture, equipment and boxes.
B. Education High school graduate, GED preferred.
C. Experience One or more years of maintenance experience is required, preferably in the health care industry.
D. Certificates/Licenses Valid driver's license in the state employed is preferred.
Note: Minimum age of 18 is required for this position.
